The purpose of Aurora’s Light Foundation, Inc. is to serve communities within Nassau and Suffolk Counties of Long Island, NY by empowering women and youth in economically-challenged neighborhoods.
Programing
Operation Big Book Bag
Goal One
Provide quick and easy access to reference materials and other studying aids and tools that will help students with educational endeavors..
Goal Two
Equip students with the means of completing their homework assignments in effort to keep them current and up to date.
Goal Three
Assist shelters, youth centers, schools and hospitals in their efforts to meet some of the educational needs of children and young adults housed at their facilities.
Project Cradle Care
Goal One
Financial contributions to help improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
Goal Two
Help teen mothers prepare for life with a newborn.
Goal Three
Support teen mothers so they may continue their education and development.
Women’s Wellness Initiative
Goal One
Provide programming with a focus on health issues that impact women; specifically, women of color.
Goal Two
Partner with local organization to promote education, awareness, and support women impacted by various health conditions.
Goal Three
Provide monetary or in kind support to those impacted by various health conditions.
